If you would like to sell your item as an inspected item, then Iron Globe Auctions
Ltd. will take care of the inspection process. An independent inspector will
inspect the equipment at your location, and provide an independent, unbiased,
assessment of the machine as of the time of the appraisal. The inspection will
include a visual, and functional assessment of the equipment, as well and 25-30
pictures, and oil/fluid analysis where necessary.
The inspection report gives the buyers a high level of confidence they need
to bid on your equipment, as our inspection reports are thorough and provide
detailed information to the buyers, including ratings and comments on all major
components, functional test results, pictures, and where necessary, analysis
of oil/fluid samples.
The inspection process can take 2-3 hours, and there are several things you
can do to ensure that the process goes quickly and smoothly, and make sure that
you the seller get the most benefit out of the inspection process.
We recommend the following steps:
- Clean the equipment to get rid of all dirt, grease, etc.
- Make sure all oil/fluid levels are proper, including engine, hydraulic,
transmission, final drives, swing motor, etc.
- Make sure undercarriage section is clean so measurements can be taken where
necessary
- Provide documentation of any repairs and maintenance done on the equipment
that would make the equipment more valuable to the buyers
- Make sure the equipment is in an open area when the inspector is appraising
the equipment and taking the pictures, so other equipment does not get in
the way, and distract from the item being inspected
You can sell your equipment as inspected or un-inspected, but for us to offer
your equipment under the Iron Globe Pledge,
the equipment must be inspected. Furthermore, once the equipment has been inspected
you cannot use, operate, or modify your equipment.
