How To Sell

The first step is to register will Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. – it’ easy and it’s free. Then just fill out our consignment contract. If you are selling an item that is titled or requires a permit under the registry of motor vehicles, then you are required to supply Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. with the original title or permit.

You can put your equipment up for auction in one of our Live Auctions or in a 7Day Auction. Your equipment remains on your property for the duration of the auction.

Our independent inspectors will inspect your equipment at your location, and an inspection report will be posted online for all bidders to view.

Selling in a Live Auction
Items in our Live auctions are sold without a reserve price. However, we do set an opening bid at a level that will be appealing to bidders, and giving you a sale price that will reflect the true market value of your equipment. During the two to three weeks before the live auction, buyers from all over North America and all over the globe will be able to preview the equipment. Many potential buyers will place automated express bids while they preview the equipment and the inspection reports. Our live auctions will be advertised and promoted well in advance to invite a large number of global buyers.

Items are on the block for a minimum of ten minutes, but the item is not sold until there have been three minutes without any bidding. This allows buyers enough time to read the inspection reports, evaluate, and determine their maximum bids. Even though most of the items, and inspection reports will be available for preview well in advance of the live auctions, some potential buyers may not have had the opportunity to do so.

Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. will collect the payment from the buyer, and only then will you release the equipment to the buyer or the designated transport company. Once the buyer or the designated transport company has possession of the equipment then Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. will release the funds to you.

Selling in a 7Day Auction
In our 7Day auctions, we can auction your equipment anytime. You can set a reserve price if you want, choose the start date of the auction, and if you wish, provide a WinBid price.

  • Reserve Price - A reserve price is a hidden minimum price that you are willing to accept for your item. If you decide to set a reserve price, then you are only obligated to sell your item once the bid amount meets or exceeds your reserve price.

  • WinBid - In a 7Day auction, you may, at your option, set a WinBid price. This is a price which is displayed on the auction site for all the buyers to see. This is the price which you are willing to accept for your item and sell it immediately to the buyer, and end the auction on your item.
