Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How can I bid on an item?
A. While bidding on your computer is the quickest and most reliable method of bidding, you may also bid by fax. You can print and return our express bid fax form or call 1-866-606-3343 or e-mail us at info@ironglobe.ca and we will fax you an express bid form.

Q. When can I bid on an item?
A. In our 7day auction you can bid anytime the item is up for sale until the time expires, or till such time as that item is sold.

Q. Where are the auctions held?
A. The auctions are held online. You can bid from your computer or fax your bid on equipment being sold all across North America

Q. Can I go and inspect the equipment myself?
A. This is not possible; as the equipment may be located throughout Canada and the U.S. Our independent inspection reports provide you with a detailed description of the equipment, along with pictures and oil sample analysis where necessary. Our inspections and oil sample analysis are done by licensed, certified technicians/mechanics and independent labs, respectively.

Q. What is a 7day auction?
A. In a 7day auction an item is listed for a 7day period, and may have a reserve price. The 7day auction item may also have a WinBid price, which is usually displayed. If a bidder bids the WinBid price, the item is immediately sold to that bidder.

Q. Do all 7day auction items have a reserve?
A. While many 7day auctions have a reserve price, not all do. None of the Live auction items have any reserve price.

Q. Who can answer my questions?
A. Call our customer service center at 1-866-606-3343.

Q. Once I am the winning bidder, whom do I pay?
A. Payments are made to Iron Globe Auctions Ltd., to a designated bank account set up for such purposes. Iron Globe Auctions Ltd. will handle all payments to the seller once you or your designated transport company has possession of the equipment.
